Stepping On Program
Stepping On is a program that has been researched and proven to reduce falls in older people. It consists of a workshop that meets for two hours a week for seven weeks. Workshops are led by a health professional and a peer leader—someone who, just like you, is concerned about falls. In addition, local guest experts provide information on exercise, vision, safety and medications. EXHIBIT: Hoosier Women Artists Exhibition
Artwork chosen for an exhibit at the Indiana Statehouse show the variety of talents of current Indiana women artists. They will be joined by a variety of 3-dimensional works by Hoosier women artists from the Haan Museum’s permanent collection.
Admission: $10 for adults; $5 for ages 5-17

Wyandotte Elementary Hawk Walk 5K
Location: 5865 East 50 South Lafayette
On May 11, 2018 Wyandotte Elementary in Lafayette, Indiana will be holding our 6th Annual Hawk Walk/5K Race.
On race day, there will be a variety of events to accommodate all ages and is open to the public. The races include the Hawk Walk 5K Run/Walk and a 1 mile kids fun run. In addition to the races, we will be including events such as a silent auction, food, vendors,a bounce house, obstacle courses and games.
The beneficiary of this race is our school—Wyandotte Elementary. All money donated will be used to promote healthy living and further support the students of the Wyandotte community.
Lafayette Sailing Club Spring Callout

CALLOUT FRIDAY APRIL 20, 2018The Lafayette Sailing Club is a community-wide non-profit association of local sailors of all ages and abilities. No boat needed! People who love the water but know nothing about sailing--welcome! Sailors who haven't sailed since they were kids--welcome! The Club maintains boats for lessons and for member use. The Club offers scheduled free Sail Schools along with informal assistance at our Lafayette Sailing Club Harbor--located at Lake Freeman. YWCA Clay Bowl Giving Project
Enjoy lunch or dinner at the YWCA and take home one of the hundreds of clay bowls made an donated by local potters. Proceeds benefit the YWCA Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program $25 in advance $30 at the door
Nelson's Port A Pit Chicken Fund Raiser

Bethany Presbyterian Church is having a Nelson's Port-a-Pit Chicken Sale on Saturday, April 28th from 10am to 2pm at the corner of Ninth and Kossuth Streets. For those of you who have not had Nelson's, it is truly AMAZING chicken!!! Falling off the bone tender and juicy- it is addictive. We will also be featuring their legendary Pit-Tatoes. Last year we sold out, but don't worry, we've ordered more chicken and potatoes this year! The price is $7.00 for half a chicken and $3.50 for Pit-Tatoes.
Proceeds from this event will go toward our Neighboring Ministry Team activities which include, The Garden Party, Back to School BBQ & Blessing and Breakfast With Santa.
