Foot Pursuit 5k

Location: Subaru of Indiana Automotive 5500 IN-38 Lafayette

Join us for the inaugural Lafayette Police Department Foot Pursuit 5K Run/Walk and SWAT Pull-up Challenge! Benefits kids at the Heartford House in Lafayette, IN. Enjoy a flat,paved, CLOSED 5k course which winds through the SIA Recreation Area. No traffic or street crossings! Optional SWAT Pull-up Challenge following the race for those interested in showing off their strength! AWARDS Top male and female overall in the 5K. Top three males and females in each age group in the 5K. Age groups are as follow: Male and Female 19 and Under Male and Female 20-29 Male and Female 30-39 Male and Female 40-49 Male and Female 50-59 Male and Female 60-69 Male and Female 70 and Over NOTES While we love animals, dogs and other pets are prohibited at this event. Because this is a fundraiser, no refunds will be issued for any reason. Please no bikes, skateboards, rollerblades or anything that would unfairly enhance your performance. TIMING & RESULTS The 5K will be chip timed using disposable bib chip technology by The Franklin Finish, LLC. Results posted following the event at www.franklinfinish.com. THANK YOU! EXHIBIT: Hoosier Quilts

From 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Take a trip through time and see quilts from the 1800’s, including redwork, embroidered, grandmother’s flower garden, trapunto, and crazy quilts. Move forward to the 1930’s, and you’ll see patterns such as feed sack, yo-yo, wedding ring, flower basket and tulip quilts, plus a “trip around the world” postage stamp quilt with over 9000 pieces. Contemporary and reproduction quilts include appliqué, Dear Jane, a reproduction of a 1776 Hession Soldier quilt, and a quilt made for Indiana’s Bicentennial. There are quilts to fit beds, cribs, and doll beds as well as wall hangings, clothing and more. To purchase tickets or to learn more about the Museum visit www.haanmuseum.org.
