1:00PM 5:00PM The Friends of the Mulberry Library Home Tour The Friends of the Mulberry Library will have their Home Tour Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 1-5 pm. This biennial fundraiser will raise money for two years of programming at the library. This year’s tour will feature three homes that are over a hundred years old, a cottage in the Mulberry Health community, and a barn featuring an interesting collection of mechanical treasures in rural Dayton. The homes have all been recently renovated including a chef’s kitchen, a yoga studio, a year-round room, and an in-home clothing boutique. This year’s unique feature, Greg’s Mechanical Man Cave Museum, is a 3,200 square foot pole barn which contains a wide variety of items. The display includes vehicles, a steam powered boat, antique toys, steam engines, WWII items, handcrafted miniatures, electric trains, gas pumps, and a 1946 Ercoupe airplane. Tickets are available in advance at the Mulberry Community Library, 615 E Jackson St, the Frankfort Community Public Library, 208 W Clinton St, and the Rossville Community Library, 400 W Main St for $8. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour for $10 each at any of the homes: 4346 Newcastle Rd Lafayette; 426 N Main Street Mulberry; 221 W Jackson St Mulberry; 7646 N 950 W Mulberry; and 456 Hiawatha Dr Mulberry.
