Hunger Hike 2017 - HH5K Run

From 8:00AM to 11:00AM

Be a part of the annual Hunger Hike 5K Run and Race to Feed the Hungry. The HH5K Run is open to runners of all ages and abilities who share a common goal: Fighting Hunger! The HH5K Run will convene in parking lot at White Horse Christian Center, 1780 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette. Start/finish in the Celery Bog Nature Area. The course is mostly flat and paved and allows participants to run while enjoying the scenic loop through West Lafayette in early autumn. Advanced Registration is encouraged but race day walk-ups are welcome. The purpose of the HH5K Run is to use physical exercise to draw attention to and funds for “Feeding the Hungry.” All HH5K proceeds directly support the Lafayette Urban Ministry food assistance programs including the St. John’s/LUM Food Pantry, Food Finders Food Bank Inc., and St. Thomas Aquinas’ Haiti Ministry including the Haiti Water Purification Project. Register at www.hungerhike.org today. Check-in time at 8:00 AM the day of the event; run starts at 9:00 AM. It’s an opportunity to support these outstanding local organizations while enjoying a serious 5K event.

EXHIBIT: The Many Faces of Indiana Art

This is a juried exhibition designed to examine, challenge, educate, and enrich the viewer's definition of art. The exhibition features a wide range of works in many forms by over 20 Indiana artists. Paintings, glass, photography, woodcarving, metal working, jewelry, and textiles are just a few of the many art forms being showcased in the exhibition. Open Wed. - Sat. from 1-4 pm.
