Enjoy a Garden Party & Garage Sale on a lovely spring day! Bethany Presbyterian Church will host a Garden Party for the Vinton and Hedgewood Neighborhoods on Saturday May 21st from 9-11 am. In addition, the Bethany Youth Group will hold a garage sale! The garage sale will feature many unique items for sale from 9am – 3pm. The money raised helps the youth group with outings along with mission projects. Half the money raised will also go to Cary Home for Children and Heifer International. The purpose of the garden party is to help neighbors form a connection around shared produce and gardening expertise. We plan to have gardening advice, garden tours, a children’s activity area, and networking tables. In order to make starting a garden a reality, Bethany plans to make available plants, seeds, and small gardening tools to our neighbors. It is our hope that through connections made at the garden party, neighbors will be encouraged to share their experiences, expertise, and produce with each other so that through the engagement they will build their gardens and a sense of community at the same time.
